‘Tis a happy Fryday, ladies and gents, a happy Fryday indeed! Much thanks to Mr. A for sharing this little gem of a photo with my pug-loving self this fine Friday afternoon. Does the little beast look like he’s in pain, of course he does. Doesn’t mean it ain’t the cutest darn thing I’ve seen all week. I commend this pug and it’s self-restraint. Put me in that pretty pup’s place and there would be a similarly devastating expression on my face with no fry in sight (most likely because I’ve not only devoured the entire carton in less than 2 minutes but I’ve equally destroyed the Big Mac I probably ordered to go along side it). Ahh, the joys of pet-deprecation….
But moving on to the other reason this Friday is even more stupendous than most…. it’s one of my dearest little friends birthdays! Yup, a whole year has passed since the birth of one bitch of a lady. She’s had her ups and down’s this year, yes, but every day was a wonderful blessing to have her highness in my life. Even though we have a very tumultuous love-hate relationship, she deserves one hell of a celebration!
We’ve sure been through a lot together. I mean, let’s be honest, when I met her and decided that this was going to be a long-term relationship (despite the many protests of family and friends), I didn’t know if our relationship would last the month let alone a whole year! But slowly, as she went through one hell of a transformation herself (she was pretty ragged when I met her if I do say so myself), she helped me grow as well! Some could say we’re inseparable, joined at the hip, two peas in a pod, just as every bestie should be. But there are still many-a-moon when I would truly like to set her on fire. Regardless, of where we started we’ve learned a lot together and I’m blessed to have her, and now her new little sister, in my life!
So tonight I will raise my glass and toast to her for making it through the year! Now let’s party and show this town why we should all be celebrating this little lady’s big day!
